TRAINING AND POLICY

SURVIVAL COURSES

Krino International has rolled out three practical courses:

• The five day African Fieldcraft for NGOs and Missionaries which is an in depth course for new employees of NGOs and missionaries going into Africa for the first time.  The Course is held at the Zebra Lodge and provides excellent transition from the Developed World environment to that of the Developing World covering preventative strategies and measures to protect the individual against threats.  From dealing with situational awareness, bush craft, dangerous animals and critters, driving vehicles in Africa, map reading, domestic law,  to survival techniques, including weapons recognition and cultural orientation, participants are also taught the basics on how to stabilize accident, stab, gunshot or burn victims by qualified experts.  The course sets the standard to empower the participant to be prepared and alert to avoid possible future threats.  The cost of the course is R9000.
• The 5-hour Survival in the Urban Environment and a more focused 3-hour Fundamental Streetwise Survival Just For Women.  Both courses are the sum of the group’s combined Peacekeeping, Security, Police and Military experiences in Africa, and do not purport to turn participants into weapons or martial arts experts, but rather focuses on relevant and new way of thinking about the situational and spatial awareness where participants are taught real time, practical knowledge on how to identify and avoid threats, which include abduction, robbery, rape and assault between home, travel, and work. Participants are also taught the basics on how to stabilize accident, stab, gunshot or burn victims by qualified experts

PROJECT: THE development of a less than lethal projectile FOR CROWD MANAGEMENT

After the Marikana incident in South Africa, KICG realized that security officials world-wide have no real answer to dealing with large unruly crowds in a humane manner.  Most are equipped with firearms which are not appropriate in dispersing those who become riotous.  Currently we are developing a cost-effective platform which has a no fatal nor long term impact on those it is used against, is completely harmless to the environment, but will have a dramatic effect on dispersing violent groups.

SOCIAL WELFARE PROJECT: OPERATION 'BRIGHT' MINDS

Krino International hold the philosophy that all companies and entities should prioritize a contribution back to society. Krino International is proud to announce it is rolling out an internship program for physically handicapped teenagers, providing specialist coding and programming training to enable youngsters to engage in the workplace and find employment within a discipline where they excel. The pilot program is underway with one bright intern, with the view to recruiting more as we gain experience in this endeavor.
